Below is a list of the books I've been reading and have given me great insight.
As for blogs, there is one place where I look towards all blogs type for Social Enterprise, Corporate Social Responsibility, Nonprofits, Third Sector Policy, Impact Investing and more. No reason to recreate it when Unsectored did such a amazing job of comiling wonderful resources.

Genre: Nonfiction, inspiration
Synchronicity by Joesph Jaworski
is an incredible read for anyone who wants to embark on a unclear path towards their dreams. As a corporate lawyer
undergoing a divorce, he begins to realize that he cannot find meaning in his life and undergoes a transformation that leads him towards studying leadership, quantum physics, compassion, and being in a state of flow. If you read the book, you'll understand how they are all connected.
Genre: Philanthropy, Transformative economy
Billions of Drops in Millions of Buckets by Steven Goldberg
This book is a truly remarkable look into the issues that face the nonprofit world. Goldberg articulates the nuances and challenges that plague this sector and does so in such a way that one does not put down the book and feel an immense sense of doom. He infuses his critiques with optimism and extraordinarily innovative solutions. I have had the pleasure of speaking to Goldberg myself, and his newest material consistently pushes the readers to think bigger and expect more of the philanthropy's role.
Genre: Well, Impact Investing
Impact Investing by Antony Bugg-Levin and Jed Emerson
This is the be all end all of Impact Investing. It is the primer and should be the first book anyone reads if they are interested in this sector. Bugg-Levine and Emerson make quite a team and open up this complex world for the laymen and make social responsible investing sound less like a crazy dream and more of a possible reality.
